Carol Fenwick, MHS, RDN, LD, is a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist in private practice in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She completed her dietetic internship, which focused on weight control, sports nutrition, and exercise physiology, at Duke University’s Diet and Fitness Center in 1996. She is certified as an Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She completed her Master of Health Sciences degree through Western Carolina University in 2001.She graduated with a B.S.BA., with a major in marketing, from Western Carolina University in 1990.
Fenwick specializes in providing a non-diet, lifestyle approach to those seeking to lose weight, have eating disorders, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), insulin resistance, prediabetes, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and other chronic diseases. She focuses on the total person and helps them to discover a healthier lifestyle. Fenwick believes weight loss diets do not last and only serve to damage the dieter’s physical and spiritual self by leading to diet-binge cycles, eating disorders, health problems, and decreased self-esteem.
Fenwick enjoys working with those individuals seeking to maximize their athletic potential through nutrition and fitness, no matter their age. As a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and ACSM, she has current knowledge of the many issues arising in the field of sport nutrition. She has continued her education through many conferences presented by nationally recognized sports nutritionists and exercise physiologists.
